TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SHORT-TERM RENTAL

General Terms and Conditions for short-term rental

These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between Zmattig AG (landlord) and the guest.

  1. Conclusion of contract
    The rental contract is concluded upon binding booking confirmation.
    Bookings are generally made via Zermatt Tourism or its booking systems.
  2. Rental object and use
    The accommodation may only be used for residential purposes.
    The maximum occupancy stated in the booking confirmation must not be exceeded.
    Parties, events or commercial use are not permitted.
  3. Prices and additional costs
    The rental price results from the booking confirmation.
    Additional costs may apply in particular:
    Visitor’s tax in accordance with statutory provisions
    Final cleaning (unless included)
    All prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF) unless otherwise indicated.
  4. Payment terms
    Payment is made in accordance with the conditions of the respective booking platform.
    The payment deadlines stated in the booking confirmation are binding.
  5. Arrival and departure
    Check-in and check-out times are communicated in the booking confirmation or guest information.
    Deviations are only possible by prior agreement.
  6. Cancellation and no-show
    The cancellation conditions stated in the booking confirmation or booking platform apply.
    In the event of no-show or early departure, no refund will be granted unless otherwise agreed.
  7. Guest obligations
    The guest undertakes to treat the accommodation and its furnishings with care.
    Any damage must be reported immediately.
    The guest is liable for damage caused by themselves or accompanying persons.
  8. Liability
    The landlord is liable only for intent or gross negligence.
    Any liability for personal belongings of the guest is excluded.
  9. Pets and smoking
    Pets are only permitted if expressly agreed.
    Smoking is not permitted in the accommodation.
  10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
    Swiss law applies exclusively.
    The place of jurisdiction is, insofar as legally permissible, the registered office of the landlord.
